The main Kasauli is divided into portions, Upper Mall & Lower Mall areas. These are ideal for long walks. A lot of people just go up to Kasauli from nearby cities, as Chandigarh , for this long walk and fresh Pine & Oak Wood brushed air, which is quite medicinal in nature, especially for people with respiratory problems. This is one of the reason, why the TB Sanatorium was built by the British, here in Kasauli.

Windemere Cottage, Kasauli serves as a home away from home with homely atmosphere very unlike a hotel. It is a two bedroom cottage with attached toilets, a living room and a fully equipped kitchen. The Kasauli Cottage provides you a cook and helper to make your stay comfortable. We have a fully equipped kitchen with uninterrupted electricity and running water, and a refrigerator. Our cook will be happy to prepare meals of your choice. You also have a choice to take a cook along and cook oneself also. Windemere Cottage, Kasauli is also pet friendly.

In winter, temperature can lower just above freezing point when heavy woolens are required. During summer, the climate is mild and light woolens or cottons are recommended.
