There
The
property is accessible by road and is about 270 kms/ 06
hours’ drive from Delhi via Moradabad, Kashipur and Ramnagar.
From Ramnagar, the resort is an exciting 8 km drive through
the highly dense forests of Bijrani. State transport buses
ply regularly from Delhi to Ramnagar and a direct train
to Ramnagar operates from New Delhi as well.

Other
Wildlife Attractions
Corbett
is inhabited by 580 species of birds including Water Fowl,
17 types of Woodpecker, Raptors like Pallas Fishing Eagle,
Harriers and Kites, Peafowl, Khaliz Pheasant, the Rare Chirr
Pheasant, Red Jungle Fowl, Minivets, Shrikes, Cuckoos, Drongos
and Barbets. The common birds seen here are Ducks Snipe
Egrets, Herons, Spotted Eagle, Harrier, Woodpecker, Darter,
Cormorants, Thrushes, Pea Fowl, the Jungle Fowl, Grey and
Black Partridge, Pigeons, Quails, Kingfisher, Kite and the
Lark.
Several Elephants also live in the park, but they keep moving
to adjacent areas in search of food. Ramganga is the home
of prehistoric reptiles, Gavial, Mahaseer fish and Mugger.
In fact the Gavial has been saved from extinction in the
park through captive breeding. A few species of Turtles
and Tortoises are also found in and around the lake.
The reptiles found in the park include Python, Crocodile
and many species of Lizards and Snakes. Crocodiles are fairly
well distributed over the park and inhabit large number
of ravines and open glades. The natural food of the tiger
consists of Sambhar, Chital, Kakar, Para and Wild Boar found
in plenty all over the reserve. Also seen on the rocky hillsides
is the Choral or Goat Antelopes. Languor and Rhesus Monkeys
are also well distributed throughout and often warn the
entire Jungle with alarm calls, on seeing either a Tiger
or Leopard.
