'Munsiyari'
means a 'place with snow'. Munsiyari is a tiny hamlet nestled
in the Kumaon Himalayas in Pithoragarh district in the Hill
state of Uttrakhand. Wedged in between the borders of India,
China and Nepal, this is the last road head on the Indo- Tibet
border. Munsiyari lies on the entrance of Johar valley and
falls en route the ancient trade route between from Tibet.
Munsiyari is a picturesque valley and is fast becoming a tourist
attraction. Munsiyari offers stunning views of snow capped
higher Himalayan ranges. Panchachuli is the star attraction
as they look like chimneys and are amongst the gorgeous treasure
trove of magnificent peaks of Nandadevi, Nandakot, Rajarambha
and mountains of Nepal Himalayas. The Virgin environs of the
valley offers breathe taking views of the surrounding mountain
ranges.
At Munsiyari Cottage, we are always dedicated towards guest

It is situated at 5 minutes walk from the main market. Thought
it is in the heart of the town yet it provides you complete
privacy and tranquil atmosphere for relaxation. Amazing view
of the Himalayan Peaks welcomes you with it's freshness and
cooling effects as you step inside the resort.
Outside
the rooms there is a courtyard with Panchachuli & Hansling
Snow Clad Peak View, where you can sit and enjoy sun, relax,
eat snacks and storytell around the bonfire... The resort
has magnificient view of Sunset and Sunrise, you can enjoy
the shades of sky and the himalayan peaks changing colour
with the change of sunrays.

Munsiyari,
the center as well as the Gateway of Johar Region is
situated 128 Km from Pithoragarh at an elevation of
2298 meters and is snuggled in the folds of snow clad
mountains. Munsiyari is popular with high altitude trekkers
and adventure enthusiasts as this place is the base
of Milam, Ralam and Namik Glaciers.
