Sightseeing
Naukuchiyatal Naukuchiyatal is located 4 kms from Bhimtal. This famous nine cornered lake is considered auspicious because the Pandavas are supposed to have bathed here. Legend dictates that anyone who spots all the nine corners of the lake at one go becomes a millionaire. The wooded slopes are thick with oak and pine. The lake is in a picturesque location. A heaven for birdwatchers, nature lovers and the regular tourist, it provides an ideal setting for outdoor activities.

Kanchi Mandir :
This beautiful secluded mountain ashram is located in the Kumoan Hills in Uttarakhand.The first temple was inaugurated in June 1964. It is approximately 18 km from Bhimtal. Many hundreds of people visit the temples here every day. Each year, during the June 15th bhandara, reportedly, more than one lakh (200,000) people are fed.
