Reach Alka Hotel

By Road Nainital is connected by good roads to all the major national & state highways. It takes about 7 to 8 hours to travel the distance between Delhi & Nainital (320 Kms.). Taxis are readily available from Delhi, and there are some overnight private luxury buses, as well as state run buses, which start from the Inter State Bus Terminus (ISBT) at around 9 P.M and reach Nainital early in the morning.

By Train The nearest railhead is Kathgodam (34 Kms.). It takes one hour to drive up from Kathgodam to Nainital by taxi.

By Air The nearest airport is Pantnagar (70 Kms). Presently, Kingfisher Airlines operates flights between Delhi & Pantnagar. The flight departs from Delhi at about 1 pm and reaches Pantnagar at about 2 pm. It takes about 2 hours to drive from Pantnagar to Nainital. Guests from cities other than Delhi NCR can reach Nainital the sameday via connecting flights from Delhi.

Govt. Taxes Luxury tax is chargeable extra on room tariff @ 10% Service tax is chargeable extra on room tariff @ 7.42%. VAT is chargeable @ 5% on food, tea, coffee & @13.5% on soft drinks ice cream & mineral water. Extra bed is chargeable @ Rs.940/-(including taxes) in Royal, Luxury & Suite only. It can not be provided in Standard and Economy rooms. The tariff is per night on E.P (room only) basis. Check-out time is 10 A.M. & Check-in time is 12.00 noon. Tariff w.e.f 1st April 2014 up to 31st March 2015. Tariff can be revised at any time.

Note: Please note that the entire lake side is no parking zone. There is only one centrally authorized parking which is ½ km. from our hotel. Car can be parked in the front of hotel for 10 minutes only for loading and unloading.
