Rokeby Manor
Mussoorie

Crisp mountain air scented with cedar, pine and oak, an unending sea of ridges and views of snow capped Himalayas; it’s easy to see why the British chose this scenic nook as a place to recuperate. Nearly two centuries later, Landour retains much of its old world charm, best experienced at the 175-year-old Rokeby Manor.

Set amidst a magical landscape of hilly slopes and roads winding through forests of pine, Rokeby Manor was built in 1840 and traces its roots to the writings of Sir Walter Scott. Lovingly restored in 2010 to its former glory, much of its original features have been retained – stone walls, brick arches, wooden floors and cozy fireplaces. Each room is individually designed with a cozy eclectic ambience, the 15-room boutique heritage hotel is sure to transport you back in time.

Beyond the old world façade, you will find all modern conveniences – flat screen TVs with cable, wi-fi access, 24-hour front desk service, in-room dining, even mountain bikes and scooters on hire to explore the surroundings.

The Little Salon & Spa Shed Re-energize your body and revive your soul with our wide range of relaxing treatments – from quick-fixes to full body massages, scrubs and facials to waxing or nail maintenance; allow our skilled therapists to leave you revitalized.

Wilson’s Chamber Just like the British adventurer and entrepreneur Frederick ‘Pahari’ Wilson after whom this meeting room is named, this venue can be used for many small gatherings from business meetings to banquet events.

The Highlands Perched 7550 feet above sea level, Rokeby’s elevated outdoor patch ringed by pine trees is a versatile venue. Barbecues, parties, cocktail dinners or wedding functions, The Highlands is a great spot to watch the sunset or huddle around a bonfire under a starlit night.

Outdoor Jacuzzi The novelty of the open-air jacuzzis never ceases to awe Rokeby’s guests – relax in outdoor hot tubs after the day’s excursion and watch the sun sink beyond the horizon.

The Corner Shop A treasure trove of clothes, jewellery, unique mementos and gifts, the in-house boutique has everything from Himalayan herbal infusions to a wide choice of accessories and souvenirs. Shopping is always an arm’s length away.
