TWO SISTER’S ASSAM--ARUNACHAL PRADESH ( Duration 09 Nights / 10 Days )
01st DAY : GUWAHATI to KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK – Distance 223 KMS / 05 HRS
After reaching Guwahati proceed to Kaziranga National Park.
Kaziranga National Park :
In the heart of Assam, covering an area of 430 sq-Kms, is inhabited by the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses, as well as many mammals, including tigers, elephants, panthers and bears, and thousands of birds. In 1985, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its unique natural environment.
Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
02ND DAY : JUNGLE ACTIVITY AT KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK
After an early wake up, you will be taken to the riding point in the Central Range (Kohoro) for an Elephant Ride. After the ride return back to the lodge, having breakfast at 7 a.m drive to the Central Rang (Kohora) of the park for a jeep safari. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Kaziranga.
03RD DAY : KAZIRANGA to BOMDILA –Distance 256 Kms / 08 hrs
After breakfast we will proceed to Bomdila. En route at Tipi 06 Kms from the border of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam visit Tipi Orchid Centre for varieties of Wild Orchids. On reaching Bomdila check into hotel and evening at leisure. Overnight at Bomdila.
04TH DAY : BOMDILA to TAWANG - Distance 180 Kms / 07 hrs
This morning after breakfast you will take your drive through the hilly terrain to Tawang district. On the way you will visit the Sella Lake and Jaswanthgarh, is a memorial to the brave soldiers who single handedly tried to get hold of the Chinese army during Chinese Aggression, 1962. On reaching Tawang, transferred to hotel. Stay Overnight.
05TH DAY : TAWANG
Today drive to Sangetsar Lake - it is in the vicinity of the Taktsang Monastery. The most beautiful place to visit in Tawang, enroute visit PTso Lake (Pankang Teng Tso). On driving back visit Anni Gompa (Women Monastery) and Tawang Monastery (It is an important seat of Mahayana Buddhism founded by Mera lama Lodre Gyaltso during the 17th Century) and Tawang war Memorial. Evening explore the Tawang market. Overnight at tawang.
06TH DAY : TAWANG to BOMDILA – Distance 181 Kms / 09 hrs
Today we shall drive back to Bomdila for the overnight stay.
07TH DAY : BOMDILA to TEZPUR
After an early breakfast drive back to the plains of Assam, proceed to Tezpur. At Tezpur visit Agnigarh and Chitralekha Udyan(Cole park). Evening at leisure. Overnight at Tezpur.
08TH DAY : TEZPUR to GUWAHATI- Distance 190 Kms / 05 hrs
Check out of your hotel after breakfast and proceed to Guwahati - gateway to the Northeast India. At Guwahati visit Umananda Mandir – also known as the Peacock Island. Bashistha Ashram and in the evening you can explore the culture and traditions of the Northeastern States by visiting Sri Shankardeva Kalakshetra. Overnight halt at Guwahati.
09TH DAY : GUWAHATI
Today early morning visit Kamakhya temple. After taking your food you will visit Assam State Museum and then you will taken to Fancy bazaar for shopping. Overnight stay at Guwahati.
10TH DAY : DEPARTURE.
Today you will proceed to Airport/Rly Station for your onward destination.
