Apartment 3 was born out of a need for freedom, a yen for space and a yearning for balance and harmony. Located in the Hauz Khas Village, Apartment 3 was created by an artist who has been painting at Studio Maya at the Village for a number of years. It took months and years for the artist to collect things for the apartment, things that had soul and things that gave comfort. Each piece of furniture is a result of that search.

The paintings on the walls are the artist's creations. You may go visit her at her studio next door to browse or talk over a cup of coffee or perhaps, join her and her dog Maya for a walk through the leafy deer park to explore the ruins around the lake and hidden monuments near the village.

The Hauz Khas Village (HKV) is located in the heart of South Delhi, on the edge of an emerald lake in the middle of a 60 acre densely forested Deer Park. HKV is a hub for musicians, artists, film makers, writers, designers and creative people from all walks. Perched above the narrow alleys of this colorful and quaint Village, Apt. 3 is an oasis of comfort and style with an old world charm.

Apt 3 is on the 3rd floor, that means 3 flights of stairs to walk up, no lift - Apartment 3 accommodates 2 persons, if required an extra cot can be provided for an additional cost - Apartment 3 is available on a weekly basis and when possible for a minimum of 2 days

Apartment 3 is a one bedroom service apartment, well equipped and spacious, it offers an unbeatable experience to those who do not want to compromise on comfort, style or exclusivity.

Housekeeping We respect your privacy and will have the apartment cleaned and refreshed at your convenience between 11 am and 3.30 pm.

Exercise If one is not inclined to walk the well laid out paths of the deer park or jog around the lake, one could work out at the ‘Power House gym’ located in the village itself.
Cook, order in, or step out for a meal


At Apt. 3 you could enjoy cooking your own meals in the delightful kitchen equipped with a gas stove and a microwave. Cutlery and crockery are provided..

Basic groceries are available at the village itself and vegetable vendors bring their carts daily to the village. For specific items, the phone number for grocers, and fruit and vegetable shops around HKV are provided for home delivery.

If cooking is not your cup of tea, you could step down into the lanes below and enjoy a meal at one of the local restaurants.

We provide you with a list of numbers for the neighborhood eateries that offer cuisines including South East Asian, South Indian, Korean, Japanese, Greek, Mediterranean, and Italian. There are also plenty of cafes in HKV and in neighboring markets.

the studio - Apartment 3 has been designed by an Artist who paints at Studio Maya at the village itself. If she is at the Studio, you are welcome to stop by for a garden fresh sandwich, excellent freshly brewed coffee, and perhaps some cake...


The village - Artistic Hub The Haus Khas Village is fast becoming the creative hub of South Delhi. Artists, musicians, film makers, writers, graphic and fashion designers are at home here. The alleys of the village showcase antique furniture shops, fashion and jewelry boutiques, and numerous art galleries. Apt 3 is a peaceful getaway above this cultural milieu.

The People This village belongs to warrior tribes called Jats who later grew roots and cultivated the soil. This village is now an incredible amalgamation of tradition and an uber modern lifestyle. The artist belongs to one such tribe of Jats but having traveled and lived all over the world, she has gathered global sensibilities and lives beyond physical boundaries.


Location The Hauz Khas Village is a rare and enviable location as it is located by a lake in one of the greenest parts of South Delhi. Though the lake and the park are reason enough to opt for Apt 3, it is its nearness to all important destinations of Delhi that make it a most coveted address for visitors to the city. It is about 20 minutes away from every major part of South Delhi, including the airport, Connaught Place, the embassies, Khan Market, reputed hospitals, hotels, Shopping areas, monuments, museum etc.


Village Leisure The village boasts of a number of interesting cafes where one can enjoy the ambience among artists and travelers. Else in the evening perhaps step out for a drink when the local Living Room Café has an open mike night, where more often than not excellent musicians give you an enjoyable evening. If you ask around you may catch the bi-monthly drumming session in the park, for those of you who have caught the drummers in central park Manhattan, this is the Delhi version, but with more instruments!

Neighborhood Facilities Basic groceries, vegetables, transport facilities, are available in HKV. For one’s needs beyond the basics, The Green Park Market is a walking distance away, where you can find everything from fruit and vegetable shops, book stores, magazines stands, grocers, and chemists to sweet shops and bakeries and every kind of service including photo printing, dry-cleaning, hair salons , tailoring shops, courier services, banking facilities, and more.
