Parwanoo
rests in the low rolling Shiwalik hills which from the southern
boundary of Himachal Pradesh and Himachal Tourism's hotel at
Parwanoo is called the Hotel Shiwalik. Just above the highway,
it is one of the first buildings in town and is an excellent
introduction to Himachal's Hospitality. Here is the perfect
place for the businessman, the start of a great holiday for
the tourist or even a respite from a long journey. Next
to the hotel and right on the highway, Himachal Tourism also
runs the cafe Shiwalik at Parwanoo, and also Tourist Information
Office.

Along the National Highway 22, as you cross the State border from Haryana into Himachal, Parwanoo (470 m) welcomes you. A couple of decades ago, this was a sleepy little village and today, it is a major industrial town. For the tourist, Parwanoo is a convenient base station to see and visit a number of nearby areas.
ACCESS : The nearest broad gauge railhead is at Kalka, only 1.5 km away and nearest airport is at Chandigarh, 32 km. Taxis and buses are available at both places.
CLIMATE : In winter, the temperature can get quite low when heavy woolens are required. It is pleasantly warm in summer and cottons are recommended. |

All rooms are airy, spacious, well furnished and have attached baths with running hot and cold water.
