The
Sundowner cottage -located in Kasauli hills himachal Kasauli is a serene hill-station in Himachal
Pradesh resplendent with breathtaking beauty and panoramic
views. It is located 1,927 metres above sea level
and just 70 kms from Chandigarh. Legend has it that
Kasauli came into being when Lord Hanuman, on his
way to getting the Sanjeevani herb, stepped here for
jumping on to the Sanjeevani hill. At Kasauli there
is a Hanuman Mandir atop the 300-mt high hillock,
called Monkey Point, where Hanuman is supposed to
have rested his feet.
This is not a resort or a commercial property and should in no way treated as one. Home food , with a personal touch, just like at home.

The Sundowner Cottage is owned by a Royal family. A Very modest
private property with breathtaking view and nature
around. This is not a Resort or a commercial property
and should in no way treated as one. Home food, with
a personal touch, just like at home. A huge balcony,
which can take in a decent size party with a view
of 4 cities or more (Chandigarh, Ropar, Baddi etc).
The walls are full of photographs showing history
of that area, Himachal & Punjab.All around the cottage
you can view the most amazing variety of flaura &
fauna, a Hill-Top temple & nice trekking routes. One
minute you would be standing with a clear skyline
& the next you would be covered with total mist, this
is what this place is all about. |

The Independent Room with it's own kitchenette,
bathroom & garden.
The cottage
has 4 Bed Rooms with attached Bathrooms, One Common
Living Room with DTH TV, 3 Kitchens (self cooking
can be done)
If you want to come to this cottage, please note that
this is the best place for a relaxed holiday. Do
not think that this is a resort or hotel. The
owner is very choosy in picking his guests. You might
be lucky and get a evening tea meeting with a dose
of history talk from the old man (very young at heart)
at his own cottage (a unique & amazing cottage)
on the top of the hill. |
