Wazwan experience
Allow us to set up a Shamiyana and prepare you for a royal feast. The Wazwan experience can be created on special request, right from having a 'Waza' (traditional Kashmiri head cook) serve you to food served in a copper platter called the Traami. Get a first hand feel of Persian and central Asian influences which make Wazwan cuisine so unique. See how the use of natural colour, subtle flavours enhanced by mild spices and the special cuts used for specific dishes make for an unforgettable meal.

Breakfast at Char Chinar
It requires special permission, and when granted it makes for a wish come true. A breakfast or tea experience in the centre of the Dal Lake. Where four Chinar trees rise on a small island which can be reached by a speed boat of a Shikara. Get a 360 degree view of the Zabarwan Mountains, the old city, the mughal gardens and the lotus carpets on the lake as you enjoy a pre-arranged meal.The island is famous place for many hit Bollywood movies.

An Elegant Wazwan Experience : A wazwan, an elaborate multi-course meal of traditional delicacies some of which are cooked on slow fire through the night, is perhaps the most delectable way of enjoying Kashmiri heritage and hospitality. Prepared with care and pride, and served with grace, a wazwan elevates a meal to a ceremony. It can be served with prior arrangement at Latitude, the lovely all-day dining restaurant.

Sunset Shikara Ride : No trip to Srinagar is complete without a boat ride on Dal Lake- home to more than a thousand shikaras or charmingly furnished wooded houseboats. A daytime, sunset or moonlight ride, taking in the cool air scented with the fragrance of flowers, the sight of blooming lotus flowers akin sparkling diamonds, passing floating gardens of vegetables and pausing at idyllic gardens, is simply magical. Papier Mache factory visit : Historical narratives record that artisans from Bukhara and Samarqand were encouraged to settle in the valley in the 15th century by Emperor Zain ul Abidin. Papier mâché, one of the crafts patronized by the legendary ruler, remains the pride of Kashmir. A visit to a papier mâché factory with a local expert offers a fascinating insight into the exquisite craft that blends the art of working with paper and fine miniature painting.

Dachigham National Park : Spreading across a scenic 35000 acres, the Dachigam National Park - home to the Himalayan Black Bear and a host of diverse wildlife, insects and flora -offers travellers a fascinating insight into natural life. A visit can be organized with prior permission from the forest officer. An en route stop over at the trout farm, where the freshwater Kashmiri trout has been breed successfully, adds another dimension to the trip.
