Originally built in 1835, Rambagh Palace, has stepped gracefully through many royal transitions—from the home of the queen’s favourite handmaiden, to royal guesthouse and hunting lodge, and later as the residence of the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II and his queen, Maharani Gayatri Devi. Today, this jewel in the Taj’s crown offers 78 stunningly restored grand luxury rooms and suites in Jaipur which were the chambers of the former Maharaja. The palace retains its elaborate splendour, extravagantly decorated with hand-carved marble ‘jalis’ or latticework, sandstone balustrades, cupolas and ‘chattris’ or cenotaphs, and elaborate Mughal Gardens. Historical Suite

While maintaining the palace's historic charm, the suites are decorated with Rajasthani artwork and transparent fabrics and have been recently renovated. Royal Suite

Grand Royal Suite

These suites were the personal chambers of the Royal family with large French Windows over looking the gardens, provide a glimpse of royalty. These suites are equipped with a bedroom, drawing room and living room. (139-144 Sq Mt).

Grand Presidential Suite

It offers a large lounge overlooking the gardens, extending to the terrace, a royal dining room and a master bedroom with dressing area. Many international dignitaries, celebrities have had a memorable experience during their stay.(167 Sq Mt).

Maharani Mahal

‘Maharani Mahal’ the place where public meetings or ‘Durbars’ were held, welcomes the guests through ornately carved metal doors into the awe-inspiring hall lined with traditional arches framing hand painted silk paneling; its antique mirror ceiling reflecting the glow of numerous glass and crystal chandeliers. A series of decorative wood and glass doors lead to adjoining gardens, a complex of sprawling lawns and greenery.
