Pushkar
the holy town in Rajasthan is known for its sacred lake with the only
temple in the world dedicated to 'Brahma' the lord of creation. World
famous pushkar fair falls week after the festival of Diwali (in Oct -Nov)
for 7 days and finishes on the Kartik Poornima (Full Moon) the fair is
predominantly a gathering of rural life with their camels, horses and
cattles in a number of thousands for trade.
PUSHKAR
lake is surrounded by many palaces which were built by former rulers of
different states of India and one of the Palace among those is
‘Kishangarh Kunj’ built by Maharaja of Jaisalmer about 400 years ago
and later on presented to Maharaja of Kishangarh,. This property is
running as a hotel in the name of " Hotel Pushkar Palace" under
the ownership of Kr. Jagat Singh Rathore of Khanpur. The Hotel is
classified by the Govt. of India, Deptt. of Tourism as a " Heritage
Hotel" and has the finest accommodation in town, which offers
memorable stay to the guests by providing royal comforts in traditional
Rajasthani style.
Attraction
& Excursions
The
moment a traveller gets out of the hotel can visit around 500 temples,
hundreds of old palaces & Havelies owned by the erstwhile Rulers,
Jagirdars, Tajimdars & Istramirdars of this country. These temples and
Havelies are built in Rajasthani Architecture, which is totally
geometrical. Their age id from 100 to 2500 years old, many of them are
monuments which is worth visting.
In half an hour
walk, one can visit the Goddess ‘Savitri Temple, Nag Pahar (Snake
Mountain), where you can find hundreds of caves & temples, wild life
and jungle birds to see. Gaumukh,
Punchkund, Pandawa’s caves, Agust Muni’s cave are also in the Snake
Mountain. Places like Budha Pushkar (Old Pushkar), Madhya Pushkar,
Baijnath etc. are only half an hour drive by car. We take you to the
village Devnagar, where you can have breakfast, lunch & dinner with
traditional Rajasthani families and make them life time friends.
Pushkar
is a great place to get your cloths stitched. There are about 2000 tailors
stitching cloths. It is very famous for shoe smiths, where hundreds of
houses & shops of shoe smiths making shoes and selling them. Pushkar
is famous for its painters, and you can see the painters painting
miniatures in the town. You can attend "Yoga and Meditation"
Classes as there are many institutions at Pushkar. The
great Indian Bustered ‘Soklia’ a protected Indian Century can visit by
jeep. Museum & Soni Temple are at Ajmer, which is half an hour drive.

Pushkar This
camp has 234 Swiss Cottages with bath, running hot and
cold water round the clock. It has a Five star Deluxe
accommodation with two dinning halls of 600 covers,
Coffee shop and a Soft Bar. It runs during Pushkar
festival for 7 days on request we are camping for
various companies. We serve Continental, Chinese and
Indian food at camp and the camp is located 1.5 kms from
the Mela ground and 15 minutes drive by camel cart.
Karwan:
they
provide on request Camel Karwan to our guests and these
Camel Carts (the Camel Rath) have comfortable seating
arrangement and are covered with Canopies. Four people
can sit to a Camel Cart & go around the town for
sightseeing of Temples, Bathing Ghats & the town.

The
origin of camping in Royal Style can be traced to the battle times
of Mughal 'Emperor Jahangir' who while visiting Kashmir on a
pleasure trip, set up a full Royal Camp with paraphemelia for his comforts
and entertainment. This tradition continued with Rajput rulers as well,
for their hunting trips, outdoor evenings, marriage parties and Royal
gatherings, where the folk dance performance, drinks and special meals on
a Royal setting were provided.
Accommodation in Desert Camp
Well appointed 54 deluxe and 180 Swiss
cottage (with attached bath, running hot & cold water) tents
equipped with best quality linen, furniture, carpet and facilities in
specially designed modern toilets made by PVC and fiberglass. Tents are
heated with blower.
