Parao Resort is situated on the surrounding area of the Jim
Corbett National Park. Spread over an area of 12 acres, it
is 4kms far from Bijrani gate, placed on right across the
jungles of Jim Corbett at Dhikuli village, on Ranikhet road.

has a good tiger population. It was here that the "Project
Tiger" was launched in 1973. Four species of deer - hog
deer, sambar, spotted deer and barking deer and other prey
like wild boar, support the predators. Besides the tiger,
Corbett is a haven for 50 mammals, 580 kinds of birds and
25 reptile species. The Park has elephants, the Himalayan
black bear in the higher elevations, sloth bear, varieties
of lesser cats and an entire spectrum of colourful birds,
pheasants, jungle fowl and the Indian hornbill.

in the terai region of Uttar Pradesh. Corbett National
Park is 260 km. from Delhi, 90 km. from Kathgodam,

Wildlife Trails The area around the resort is the nature lover’s
ultimate reward – wild and dense, the forest starts right from
the outside. The natural and the man-made trails will take you
as deep inside as you may dare to go.
Corbett
Museum & Falls Corbett’s home at Kaladungi, around 39 kilometers
on Nainital road is now a museum that houses memorabilia of
the legendry Jim Corbett. En-route are Corbett falls, which
is an ideal place for day picnics.
Garjia
Temple and Dhangadi Museum Around 5 kilometers is a huge rock
perching out of Kosi riverbed and on the pinnacle is the beautiful
temple of Durga Devi named as Garjia. A place good for bathing,
basking and worship has an enchanting view of river Kosi from
the top. Little ahead is Dhangadi museum which exhibits wonderful
animal taxidermy including that of tigers.
Lake
District of Nainital Nainital is just around two hours away
and can be looked as a day trip. Boating options are available
in Naini Lake and the mall is an ideal place to take a stroll
and shop.
Adventure
Initiatives Controlled and supervised adventure activities,
conducted by trained instructors from renowned mountaineering
institutes, can be organized in the vicinity of the resort.
