Ayush
Guest House is a charming collection of self-catering
cottages along with 4 new rooms located in the beautiful
valley of Balta Badi, over the ridge from Paparsali.
The guest house is located four kilometres from
Almora on the Binsar Road. A short walk up the path
that leads to Eco-Park brings into view this spectacular
valley. As one walks over the ridge, the breathtaking
sight of the Majestic Himalayas also comes into
view. Various mountain peaks of India, Tibet and
Nepal can all be seen from this vantage point and
also from all of the accommodation at Ayush Guest
House.
We
are a 5 minute walk down the valley, along a concrete
path. Porters will be available to carry luggage
if required.
A
short stroll leads you to the guest house which
is surrounded by beautiful flora and fauna. This
is a wonderful spot for Birdwatchers, Meditators,
Artists and anyone who has a love of nature. Also
perfect for a romantic weekend getaway or for an
escape from hectic city life. Ayush Guesthouse has
recently opened a restaurant on site. This has a
downstairs seating area and a charming area upstairs
which consists of a well stocked library, a TV and
DVD player with a large selection of movies, a computer
for guest use and a small shop. There is also a
large outdoor seating area in our landscaped garden.
Radha
Cottage
Radha
Cottage is a charming cottage with a comfortable
living area with a wood stove fire-place. It has
1 double bed and a sofa, suitable for a small family,
singles or couples. There is a well-equiped kitchen
and a bathroom with a hot water geyser system and
a western style toilet. Radha Cottage has a verandah
offering wonderful views of the Himalayas and the
valley below.
KingFisher
Cottage is a lovely cottage with seperate bedroom
and living area. The bedroom has 2 double beds.
The living area, which is carpeted and has bamboo
furniture, also has an open fire-place. There is
a well-equiped kitchen off the living area and a
bathroom with a hot water geyser system and a western
style toilet. KingFisher Cottage has a very large
verandah with magnificent views of the Himalayas
and the valley below.
Krishna
Cottage is a quaint little cottage with 1 double
bed. This is perfect for a single person but also
suitable for a couple. It consists of 1 room with
authentic Kumaoni mud walls and has an attached
bathroom with a hot water geyser system and an Indian
style toilet. A small kitchen area is present within
this main room. Krishna Cottage has a pretty seating
area outside the front door which offers excellent
views of the Himalayas and the valley below. This
cottage has proved very popular with our single
guests.
Lark
Cottage is a stylish spacious cottage, consisting
of one large room with a king-size double bed. There
is tiled flooring throughout with many wooden features
and a large stone open fire-place. TV is available
in this cottage. There is also an adjoining well-equiped
kitchen and a large bathroom with western style
toilet. Lark cottage has a beautiful large verandah
at the front of the property which our guests find
perfect for bird-watching. There is also a more
private patio area to the side of the cottage surrounded
by plants, flowers and a lemon tree. This cottage
also offers excellent views of the Himalayas and
the valley below.
SnowFinch
Cottage is a beautiful 2 storey cottage. It is tastefully
designed in a French Gite style, with mezzanine,
creating 2 levels. It has authentic Kumaoni mud
walls and many wooden features throughout, including
wooden floors and stairway. There are 2 double beds
upstairs and a large living area downstairs. It
has a well-equiped kitchen and bathroom with a hot
water geyser system and a western style toilet.
There is a large open fire-place downstairs and
also, 2 small open fire-places upstairs. There is
also a patio outside with stone seating area. TV
is available at this cottage. SnowFinch is situated
at the highest level of our property, resulting
in breathtaking views of the Himalayas and the beautiful
valley below.
Devi
Cottage is a natural cottage with tasteful authentic
Kumaoni mud walls and a wooden floor. It has an
open plan design with 2 double beds. There is a
seperate well-equiped kitchen and bathroom with
a hot water geyser system and an Indian style toilet.
Devi Cottage has a spacious outside verandah with
wonderful views of the Himalayas and the valley
below.
The
Nest consists of 4 rooms with a surrounding landscaped
garden. Each room has many wooden features, including
wooden floors, and authentic Kumaoni mud walls.
There is a double bed and an attached bathroom with
hot-water geyser system and western style toilet.
Tea and coffee making facilities are available and
the rooms have plenty of storage space. Each room
has a flat screen TV and wiFi coverage exists throughout
The Nest. The rooms each have a tastefully designed
window-seat which has proved very popular amongst
our guests. A beautiful paved path runs above The
Nest, through the landscaped garden, before dropping
down into a further garden area at the front of
the rooms. There is a large outside seating and
eating area and also a large outdoor fire-place.
Wonderful views of the Himalayas can be seen along
with the woods as they drop down into the valley
below.
The
Restaurant was officially opened on the 26th February
2014. This is a 2 storey building, connected by
a wooden staircase. The main seating area is downstairs
alongside the open kitchen. This room has a wooden
stove if required for cooler evenings. The upstairs
seating area also has a well stocked library and
a small shop. There is a TV and DVD player, with
a large selection of movies, and a computer for
guest use. Wifi coverage can be obtained throughout
the restaurant. There is a verandah with seating
area at the front of the restaurant, alongside the
polytunnel, where seasonal, organic vegetables are
grown. Below the verandah, in the landscaped garden,
there is a spacious area for dining. This garden
area has a large outdoor fireplace if required and
wiFi coverage is still available. Spectaculiar views
of the Himalayas can be seen from the restaurant
and also of the woods, as they gradually drop down
into the beautiful valley below. Needless to say,
this provides for an idyllic setting for dining,
or simply passing the time of day, surrounded by
nature.
